Park Approves Nighttime Visits!

Light House Access for Paranormal Research

The Point Lookout State Park volunteers will be hosting a Lighthouse Opening for Paranormal Investigators to access the lighthouse the third (3rd) Saturday of the following months: July, September, October and November from 10:00pm- 2:00am.  The cost for this after hours program will be a $30.00 per person donation to the Point Lookout Friends Group (this will cover the cost of the special event service charge, the additional staff work and the park service charge) and be by reservation only.  There will be a maximum of 10 participants and a minimum of 3 participants. The program will be opened to people 16 and older.  18 years and older unaccompanied and ages 16 and 17 years must be accompanied by a parent.  There will also be the ability to “rent” out all the spaces, by paying the cost of a full program.  For further information or to register call 301-872-5688 or e-mail the park at
