Point Lookout Lighthouse to be Opened to the Public

Point Lookout Lighthouse will be open to the public on the first Saturday of every month from 10 am to 2 pm May through November, provided that volunteers are available to conduct the tours. (The hours and dates for the traditional November Open House will be announced later in the year). The first opening will be this coming Saturday, May 6th from 10 am to 2 pm. For future open houses, please call the park at (301) 872-5688 to confirm that the lighthouse will be open to the public. At this time, the buoy and coal sheds will not be accessible to the public.

Lighthouse Access

Point Lookout State Park Volunteers will be opening the Point Lookout Lighthouse to the general public the first Saturday of each month between the hours of 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM May through November.

Participants will be subjected to the park’s entrance service charge ($5.00/person for MD residents and $6.00/person for non-residents, except for the months of October and November when the service charge lowers for the off season to $3.00and $4.00/car)
