Point Lookout Lighthouse Rehabilitation Begins!

Work began on the exterior of the lighthouse last week.   Windows have been removed for replacement or repair and the exterior glass has been removed from the cupola.   The windows in the lighthouse were in very bad shape, about to fall out in some rooms.   The glass in the cupola was cracked and leaking.

Exterior work is slated to be complete by November 15th.     Ghost Walk (October 25th and 26th) and the Open House on November 2nd are currently expected to take place as planned.
